Classes

Mrs. Linda is our teacher for the One Year Old Bee Class. She is married to Douglas. Douglas is a research animal scientist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. They have three sons Benjamin, Daniel, and Nicholas. Douglas is a research animal scientist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. They have a dog named Bella, lots of cats and some chickens. Linda enjoys reading and gardening. Linda and her family attend Lexington Baptist Church. Mrs. Linda has been teaching the One Year Olds for 16 years at WFBC Preschool.

Mrs. Sheri is the assistant teacher in the Bee Class. This is their fourth year working together in the One Year Old Bee Classroom. Mrs. Sheri has a son and daughter-in-law Alan and Niki Knight and two grandsons, Jace and Ethan. She loves crocheting, baking, camping and spending time at the lake on her boat. Mrs. Sheri has a poodle named Dalton and a Labradoodle named Rueger. She attends Lexington Baptist Church in Lexington. Mrs. Sheri has a B.S. Degree in Nutrition.

This is Mrs. Jeanne’s fifth year teaching in the Bunny Class. Her husband is Lee, and they have two children, Lucas and Savannah. Her husband works as the Oglethorpe County Band Director. Mrs. Jeanne’ has a Bachelor and Masters of Arts in History with a Minor in Music. She has worked in child learning centers, Vacation Bible Schools, and currently serves as the Assistant Director and Color Guard Instructor with the Oglethorpe County High School Marching Band.

Mrs. Rachel is the assistant teacher in the Bunny Class. She is married to Dustin who owns a business called Trio Contracting. They have three children Cruz (23), Dax (5), and Tate (2.5). Mrs. Rachel has a black lab named Maya. She is an active member of Connection Church Athens which meets in Winterville Auditorium. Mrs. Rachel loves hanging out with my family and friends, taking trips to the beach or Dollywood, listening to podcasts. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Child & Family Development. She was a Children’s Ministry Director for 3 years, then taught public school Pre-K for 2 years and Kindergarten for 3 years. This is her second year at WFBC Preschool. Last year, she was an assistant in the 3 year old Cat Class.

This is Mrs. Erica’s fourth year of teaching two year olds at WFBC Preschool but she iscertainly not new to teaching. She taught English in South Korea, China, and Mongolia. She is marries to Shelton. They have a daughter named, Clementine and they we are expecting their second child in February! Mrs. Erica has three cats (Ellie, Clover, and Opal) and a rabbit named Oscar. She attends Living Hope Church. She enjoys singing and traveling.

Mrs. Cher is the assistant in the Frog class and is also Mrs. Erica’s mom. She has worked at Winterville First Baptist Church Preschool as a substitute teacher for a couple of years. Her husband, Eric, is a high-school history teacher. In addition to their daughter and her husband, Shelton, they also have three sons; Ross (married to Kyounga and living in Thailand), Charlie, and Lewie. Their family is very active at Lexington Baptist Church serving in youth, music, and deacon ministries. Mrs. Cher enjoys singing, painting, thrift and antique store shopping, and spending time with my family and poodle puppy, BB.

Mrs. Dunne’ is the teacher of our three year old Cat Class. This is her fifth year teaching the Cat Class. She is married to Chris who is an engineer. They have a son named Gunnar. She has a degree in Healthcare Administration and Human Resources and has enjoyed working with children in Vacation Bible School. Her family attends Winterville First Baptist Church. They have two dogs named Bailey and Scout they also have an indoor cat named Kitty-Kat. They also have barn cats named Johnny and June. She loves to go fishing, working out and shopping!

Mrs. Denise is the assistant teacher in the Cat Class. She is married to David. They have two sons and 5 beautiful grandchildren! She has two Yorkshire Terriers named Boone and Tobi. Mrs. Denise enjoys taking her dogs on walks, reading, and flower gardening. She attends Whitehall Baptist and Winterville First Baptist. She has taught at the Athens Montessori School and here at Winterville First Baptist Preschool in our four year old class.

This is Mrs. Sarah’s first year teaching in the Three Year Old Bear Class! She is married to Brad Bennett who is the Manager of Spags Cabinets. They have two children: Ella and Alex. She has two dogs named Dooley and Zoey and two guinea pigs named Tostito and Pumpkin. She love to be outdoors and work out! She has worked at the preschool in previous years as well as at the Athens Montessori School and the First Presbyterian Weekday School.

Mrs. Chrissy is the assistant teacher in the Bear Class. She is married to Joseph, and they have a daughter named Isabelle. Mrs. Chrissy has a dog named Freckles and a cat named Sammy. She enjoys exercising, swimming, gardening and spending time with her family. She attends Bethany Baptist Church. She has worked in our Bee class for 2 years and has subbed her at the preschool for two years as well.

Mrs. Chassidy is the lead teacher in the four year old Monkey Class. She is married to Matt who is owner of Hambrick Remodeling and Construction. They have two daughters, Ava Claire and Bella Grace. The Hambrick family has two dogs Copper and Cocoa and two cats Callie and Cassie. They attends church at Trinity Baptist in Danielsville. Mrs. Chassidy has an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. She was lead teacher in Madison County Head Start and Academy Preschool in Jefferson for 8 years and this is her sixth year at WFBC Preschool. She enjoys going to Santa Rosa Beach, Fla, The Great Smokey Mountains and Disney World with her family. Mrs. Chassidy is a big fan of and loves to cheer on the Georgia Dawgs and the Atlanta Braves!

Mrs. Amy is the assistant teacher for the Monkey Class. She is married to Josh who is a District Sales Manager. They have two girls Kynlee and Rylee Belle. They have a mini Australian Shepherd named Abbie. Mrs. Amy has a business degree from UGA and this is her sixth year with WFBC Preschool. Mrs. Amy really likes going to the lake, spending time with her family, and baking. They are members of Lexington Baptist Church.

Mrs. Maria is the lead teacher in our four year old Lion Class. She is married to Joe. Their three adult children are all married and bless them with the sweetest grandchildren. She has two dogs, one fish and six crazy cats! She is a member of Cornerstone Church Athens and also enjoys attending Connection Church Athens. She likes to paint and restore old furniture and yard art. She also loves to sit by her pool and read or play with her grandkids. She taught both public and private school for the past 37 years and retired from Oglethorpe County Primary School in 2020. Mrs. Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree in middle school education, a Master’s degree in early childhood education, and a Specialist’s degree in Teacher Leadership!

Mrs. Keri is the assistant teacher in the Lion Class .She is married to Brandon and they have three children Logan, Lucie, and Landrie. Mrs. Keri has a Master’s in Education from Piedmont University and 3 years of teaching experience. Mrs. Keri loves to go to the lake, play softball and spend time with her family. She attends Salem Baptist Church
